Sorry, just woke up =)
Let me go take a look and see what happened...

Okay, in order for me to replicate the error, I had to do some stuff with the saved variables in the saved variables folder (basically, set them to be exactly the same setup as you would have). I didn't get the error because as I was adding the new features, I kept over-writing the files...
Inspecting the new files to see what happened. Should have a fix up in a few...

Okay, the error had nothing to do with that. Instead, it was from the fail safe I put in so that if you click a button that has something in it, and you are currently carrying an action to place into said button, the button would wipe the button action when you click so that it doesn't cast or use it before changing to the new action (I tried to assign a spell to an item button that had a potion... well, I used that potion by assigning the spell to the button and basically kicked myself, thus, I added the fail safe) ... I just forgot to add the checking code to see if you HAVE something attached to your cursor (if you do, great, do the wipe. If not, just let the user use the freaking button!) ... ... so I uploaded the fix, and at the same time, made the TOC file current *sweatdrop*

For some reason I am unable to access the advanced menu with all the menu options and such. I have tried shift/alt/ctrl right clicking and it doesnt work. If I just rigut click, a menu come up that involves the inner rings, but none of the buttons.

Right-clicking on the sphere brings up the sphere settings window. As for the button settings, those will be implimented in a few days when I release an update to Stage 2. Because I was strapped for time, I decided to hold off on that feature and release it as "part 2" of this stage.
So, no button menu yet, but that will be coming soon. ;D

Perhaps I'm not getting a new version when I download the newest version off the sticky, but being unable to cast spells persists when I redownloaded today.

I always delete the mods folder before installing a new version. I'll try again later though.

Huh ... I thought overwriting would have worked *shrug* I guess I'll have to recommend that everyone deletes the folder whenever they install a new version of the addon then, until I figure out a better solution.
The file at fault was moduleButton.lua, which is in the Lib folder. Maybe overwriting only applied to the LunarSphere folder, and not its subfolders? Eh, either way, thanks for that info lothaer ;D
To be on the safe side, I'm going to restore my old saved variables from the bad version, update to the new version, and test it again. That should replicate the environment that ryianne was using at the time.
If the problem persists, I might recommend going into your saved variables folder and deleting the LunarSphere file:
...World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ (acct Name) \ (server) \ (char Name) \SavedVariables\LunarSphere.lua
You'll want to nuke that file and try again.

Well, I wasn't able to replicate the problem with the buttons, so I can only assume that when you downloaded the new version of the LunarSphere.zip file, maybe your web browser, for some odd reason, opened up a cached version of that zip file and had you using the same old one that you downloaded earlier. If something like that happens, try downloading the newest version from the "Version Update Log" on the download thread. I upload a new file name with the version attached each time, in case an issue like that happens.
As for the new version being on the download thread ... I messed up on that one. For some reason, the download thread didn't have the update that I posted (I must have hit "Preview" and not "Post"). I fixed that and you can download the new version separately now (The LunarSphere.zip file has been and always will be the newest version, unless a strange issue like today happens).
I also added a small instruction to help out as well. I'll list the new version's addon name on the WOW Addon screen, so you can check and make sure it's the same version. That way, we can make sure it's the right version.
Sorry for all the confusion. Hopefully, this will be sorted out now ;D

maybe a good idea to start including a readme and changelog files.

I planned to do a readme for the public release, but I guess it won't hurt to do one now. I'll include the changelog with the next patch.

I don't know if you've heard of it but i use the circle mod called arcanum. It is a great mage mod but in dire need of updates and is lacking many features. The reason I mention this is that I would like to replace it with your mod however I cannot do so until you release menu support due to the shear number of buttons I would like it to take care of. I was just wondering how close you are to doing this.
Just wanted to let you know that this mod has the possibility to be the most loved addon by all wow users and I look forward to actively beta testing it once menu's are implemented.

Actually, I haven't heard of Arcanum, but I'll have to do a search and see what it can do. I've only seen or used Cryolysis for mages The menu button support should be in sometime this week (read: probably the LAST day of the week, knowing me). There are a TON of features that I plan to add, so even after the menus pop in, the addon will only be about 33% finished, feature wise. If you think about coding wise, it will be able 60% complete. Thanks for your kind words on the mod =)

I fixed that and you can download the new version separately now (The LunarSphere.zip file has been and always will be the newest version, unless a strange issue like today happens). This is where my issue was I bet. I must not have been awake enough when I downloaded. I grabbed the top download (usually the 'most recent'), without realizing that it wasn't the most recent this time. Sorry over the confusion. I'll double check that my buttons are working when the servers get back up.

Pretty minor, however. When my druid is in forms (any form as far as I can tell - kitty, bear, flight form are the ones I spend the most time in, it happens in all of them for sure) the buttons I've assigned to the sphere are things such as buffs, thorns, motws, innervate, barkskin, rebirth. They should be darkened out. They darken, but don't stay that way. They kinda, flash? back and forth from being dark to normal the entire time I'm in form.

Yeah, I fixed that for the next patch. The flashing thing was funny when I first saw it, a real attention grabber, and then really drove me nuts. Someone was having issues with macros while shapeshifted, so I loaded up my druid and tried the macro. It worked, and then I noticed the flashing that you mentioned.
It would basically flash anytime a spell update was performed (regaining any mana or changing target, to see if the spell is usable at that time). You won't see that again with the new patch (hopefully tonight). I forgot to upload that fix yesterday because I got really into the whole menu button thing. ;D
