Left, middle, and right-click ability has finally been added to LunarSphere. Still, without tooltips, you're gonna need to have a good memory to figure some stuff out. Stage 3 or 4 will have some tooltips thrown in, so don't worry too much for now.
Okay, onto the details. Before, if you wanted to assign an action to a button, you would simply pick up that spell/item/macro/ability and click-on or drag-to the button you want to modify. This is still the case, so don't fret. However, in the past, if you assign a button an action, ALL mouse buttons would use that action. Now, it will be whatever you used to make the action. So, if you set a left-click action, your middle and right-clicks will do nothing (unless you also assign them).
I have taken the liberty of adding a small bit of code that coverts the old saved button database into the new format that I use, so any buttons you have now will be safe, and automatically converted to left-click buttons.
Okay, assigning the button is simple. Pick-up something and move your cursor to the button you want to modify. Click the button with whatever mouse button you want to assign that action with, and you're done. Simple, right?
Well, except for one small thing: In order for a button to exist, it MUST have a LEFT-CLICK action! So, if you moved your mouse over to an empty button and assigned it a right-click action, I'll spoil the surprise and tell you want happens: the button disappears again, and you didn't do anything. So, make sure you do the left click first, then add stuff later.
Another interesting thing to note: You can assign middle and right-click actions to an existing menu button. So, left click to open the menu, or right/middle click to do something else.
Obviously, if you hold CTRL and right-click a button, it will be deleted. This goes for all actions assigned to it.
So, enjoy the new toys, and I'll be back later with Stage 3 goodness.

Well it seems to work perfectly Moongaze!!!!!!!! Just wondering... Are you gonna add middle/right click support on the menu buttons themselves?

I believe that is what Moongaze said we could do ;D
if I misunderstood you and you are meaning the buttons located in the menus, these actions can be assigned to them as well.

Multi-button support definitely kicks ass. One button stone summoning and using for my lock rocks.

Glad you're all liking it. It's one of my worst fears to dump a large update to LunarSphere on everyone and then go to sleep, because 8 hours later, when I wake up, there might be a ton of new posts ... and they might all be "Argh! Found an error!" or "It's not working! Please advise!" etc. So this morning, I had a sad look on my face when I saw how many new posts there were... ;D But then, I noticed they were all GOOD posts, and that made my day ;D Thanks everyone

We're glad to be making your day, but it's easy when you're making the end-all be-all sphere mod that we've all been looking for

You certainly are ..but just one small annoyance.. In order to see the cooldown of something like a healthstone or mana gem I assumed I would have to make using it the left click and making it the right click (which i would prefer the otherway around and so it would be nice for a selectable function on what buttons cd you want to show...left, middle, right click). But it seems you can't c the cooldown...amazingly if you make another button as the use gem the cooldown all of a sudden shows up on both buttons.

But it seems you can't c the cooldown... I can add a section on the button settings window that will let you decide which click the cooldown will appear with. I wrote that down for a feature to add with Stage 4, since that will deal with more button settings. amazingly if you make another button as the use gem the cooldown all of a sudden shows up on both buttons. Congrats, you found the first bug for the latest release of Stage 2! I think I forgot to modify the cooldown code with the last update, which is why you're seeing a cooldown that you're not *supposed* to see I'll have that fixed in the next beta update.

I'm my aim and goal to ensure that every update and every stage leaves your settings intact. I will never force you to reset everything ... that's just cruel =)

I'm hoping that when I do release this addon to the public, there won't be any bugs. I think it says something about an addon when it has been tested every which way and backwards and when it's released, there are no issues. Small addons can get away with it, but this thing is massive. If fact, it really seems to be growing to the point that, when it's finished, it will be replacing several addons at once.
For myself, I use a separate addon for each of these things: - managing my spells for my priest and giving me fun things to say - showing coordinates on the minimap - hiding the minimap zoom buttons and time indicator - showing a "total bids" and "total auctions" counter on the AH (I had to make it, but it still counts) - tracking motes - auto-selling junk and auto-repairing
I can get rid of all of those when this addon is finished, and my UI will look way less cluttered. Stage 3 pretty much eliminates everything at the bottom of the screen, much like action bar addons currently do.
Haha, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing grows (many many months after it's released) into a default UI replacement. I don't know how good that would be though ... I mean, can you imagine each party member having a sphere, and your target? lol, that's be strange ...

For me this will replace:
Arcanum (mage sphere addon) Titan panel (duribility % and gold counter) AutoSell (sells grey items)
and hopefully someday Detached Mini Buttons
Just that it replaces the 1st three and so highly configurable makes it my #1 favorite mod to have. Nice job.

As a joke, I made a mock-up of what the interface would look like with a sphere UI overhaul. I don't ever imagine it happening, but who knows. Here's my goofy idea: To make it work better, I would probably add the ability to create a transparent black bar that goes on the bottom of the screen, for the chat stuff. Maybe a section for the minimap as well. The target's sphere would be above your sphere, and your party would be in the top-left. Buffs would go next to the spheres ... and the main menu buttons and bag buttons would be in a menu button on the sphere ;D All the menus would usually be closed too ... eh, would be ... "interesting" lol

More than interesting... if u detach the minibuttons you could close up the minimap and with an option to hide the chat areas that would be almost perfect..all you have to do is keep the actions hotkeyed (1,2,3 etc..).... and then ur cruising ....pity it won't happen .. nice mock up though
