Sorry for the delay. I'm done with the template stuff, I'm just working on one more thing that's almost finished. That, and I was trying to figure out a good way for my printer to print in "book binding" mode because I need to print a book

quoted from you opening post: I'll be adding stuff to the Memory tab and will finally let LunarSphere do what I've always wanted it to do: selectively load parts of its code based upon what the user wants to load.
does this mean that you will be able to hide say the sphere on it own etc is that what you mean by selectively load parts?

Yes. But the sphere will not be on the memory tab yet. This version I'm releasing doesn't have the memory tab finished. When it is finished, I will try to add the sphere to the options. If I can't do it by the time the public release happens, it will be one of the first items on my list afterwards.

Sure:
/script f=getglobal("LSsphere"); a=math.abs(f:GetAlpha()-1);f:SetAlpha(a); getglobal("LSbackground"):SetAlpha(a); getglobal("LSsphereBorder"):SetAlpha(a); getglobal("LScombatGlow"):SetAlpha(a);

It's time. I'm posting the changelog now for people to sink their teeth into while I prep the servers for the file upload. *shudder*

You have a little bit of set up to do first. 1) Make the inner and outer sphere gone (set it to not display them, in the LS settings window) 2) Turn off the gauge and sphere shines 3) Use macro. It's a little tricky. That's the best I could do, macro wise, without using two macros

Just thought I would let people know what I'm doing.
Right now, I'm running a bulldozer through the Settings window. The Inner and Outer Gauge tabs are going away and will be replaced with just a "Gauges" tab, where you can pick inner or outer gauge inside this tab and modify it like always. This will save a little bit of memory and let me use the other tab for my other project.
I plan to be adding a "Buttons" tab which will have the vivid color settings, cooldown settings, and some other stuff. I figure that I would have to do this eventually, so I'm going to do it now.
I am also rebuilding the gauge/sphere event database a little bit, which requires a good amount of code re-writing in some areas. I'm doing this so that I can add gauge/sphere events in the future without much editing, and this is also to help the new Gauges tab work properly.
I am going to be adding a scroll bar to the Button Settings window so that I can add new features without the need to expand that window any more. I want to add the ability to set how a menu will open on a per-menu-button basis, and I want this information in the Button Settings window. Menu opening options would include: "On mouse over," "Always open," "Toggle (how it currently works)," "Toggle with delay (After a set amount of seconds, the menu closes)". These should let people operate their menus more in the way that they want and if people want to use a menu as an action bar, it can always be open like this and never close, and other stuff.
Reagent tab will be getting a bank restock feature, which will most likely be a "restock from back" check box that, when checked, will grab the item from the bank, not the vendor (but not both ... for that you would need to set one up with and one with the bank option).
Template tab will be getting a delete button.
Skin tab will be getting, um ... a lot of stuff. People who want to customize the look of LS will have a little more to monkey with.
This is all I have planned before the public release. I still need translations, but I won't get that started until everything is in place. I also need templates ...

1) Will the other language files increase the size of LS if you don't use them?
2) I made a mage template, but it only works for alliance mages because I don't have access to the horde portal/teleport spells. Does that mean you would want two templates for mages, or should I just not include the portal/teleport spells in it?
3) Is it ok if the templates don't have the main dps spells in it or do you need to have them in there? I made mine contain everything but that.

Nope, removed from memory once loaded. I totally forgot about that. I'll just edit the template and replace the teleport and portal spells for the horde versions in a separate template that only loads for horde. Or, I'll make a small change to the template file that will load for both factions, but with also search for both spells and use the one it finds. I like that idea better. So, include the teleport spells, hopefully like left-click teleport, right click portal, or vice versa. The idea for the mage template is to try and make it just like Cryolysis, which I think had a fire menu, arcane menu, ice menu, teleport menu ... a shield menu? I don't remember. Basically get it so pretty much every spell is on the sphere, so when the user loads it up the first time, they don't have a lot of set up to do and can just modify it from there. That's the idea for the "default" templates. Other templates can be made and downloaded for people to use to fit certain play styles, but these defaults are mainly aimmed to get all the "omg, soooo much to set up! I do not like LS!" people taken care of and let the people who like to set things up and want to customize the hell out of LS have a template to start with and monkey with, or they can just build their own. Honestly, with the new spell ID system that Blizzard introduced, I might be able to make all the templates without much work. Even without the spell IDs, I could probably make the templates. I just look up all the spells for a mage, or hunter, or whatever in Wowhead or some other wow database and pull the data I need from there. *shrug* I just don't know how each class looks with the other sphere addons. A lot of the sphere addons had pictures of every menu opened up, so I can easily mimic it. Some I'm not so lucky. In that case, I would have to create menus that I think would make sense. A shaman, for example, would have a menu for each totem element and I would fill it up with that element, there is the basic food/drink and potion buttons, mount/hearthstone, and usually a trinket or two. If I have left over buttons, I add dispell, crowd control, etc. If there are few left over buttons, or none ... well, glad everything is sorted by element or type with those menus. This template idea is a little messy. I can't know what the masses will want. I do know that people who have used Cryolysis, Necrosis, etc., will be used to that setup and to get a sphere addon that functions just like it, has way less bugs or is guaranteed to be updated, and can also be customized ... will be happy with a template that looks like said addon. Even the skin, if possible.

I will try to make a template that mimics Cryolisis as much as possible this weekend.
What about the spells that you only get from talents. For example, blastwave, pyroblast, dragon's breath, water elemental, ice barrier, icy veins. Do you want me to include those in the menu's as well. I guess I could because I the person doesn't have those spells they will just show up as blank anyway. I'm not paying all the gold to respec though so if you want it that way, I will add in all the frost ones and then tell you the few fire ones that you can add in by spell ID.

Sounds good. I was hoping that the PTR would be up for these changes, but I might not be so lucky ... I think the PTR won't be up for another week ... unless it is up?

Finished converting the gauge and sphere text events to the new format I'm using (which will make adding events in the future much easier). Also finished destroying the Inner and Outer gauge tabs and they now co-exist in a "Gauges" tab. I think I'll move a few things into the new Buttons tab and see what else I can do today. I am going to be pre-occupied most of this weekend, so I don't know what else I'll be doing.
