Hi there First, I'd like to thank Moongaze for that wonderful addon, I actually can't play without it ! ;D That's my first post here, and as I didn't wrote in english for a long time, I hope I'll be understandable. I'd like to talk about a minor problem. (just a matter of convenience, I would say) When the vehicle interface appears (riding a drake, a tank), we can't use it with keys unless we disable our own LS Keybinds. As this interface often appears (I didn't try Occulus yet, but it's a great part of it), would it be possible that, when we're on a vehicle, our Keybinds get automatically disabled, as if they were in background ? I hope I won't be hard to understand, heh ! May the lolcat be with you !

A little up for Moongaze It's a little bit disturbing to disable my keybinds everytime I want to do my daily quest of the Wyrmrest Temple, and I don't think I'm the only one to care about it.

I'll look into seeing what I can do about it.

Something to this affect (referring to Kelana's request) would be awesome, but not sure it is possible. PvP'ing in the Strand or Wintergrasp is pretty difficult when hopping in and out of a vehicle. I have to disable the couple of keybinds (keyboard numbers 1 and 2) to control a vehicles action bar. When I have to hop out of it (or if vehicle gets destroyed it pops you out) I then need to 'quickly' re-bind the keys in LS before I get killed by pvp players (this takes a bit of time lol). Pretty tough stuff to do when you're in the middle of 30 players that are pissed off cause you just took out their fortress wall, lol - especially when LS auto-hides edit mode when in combat.
I also noticed, and not sure if it's a bug with LS or what, but when I'm in a passenger seat of a vehicle I don't get a bar of any type - not even an option to exit a vehicle. I talk with friends on vent and they keep telling "hit the exit icon on the bar!" and I'm like, "What F***ing bar and what icon?!" lol... basically I'm not seeing the bar they do when you opt to become a passenger in a vehicle while in the Strand or Wintergrasp. I may have to disable LS temporarily just to see what they're talking about as I use LS as my only bar mod since version 3 or 4 I think...??
Overall, still awesome work there Moongaze!! Keep it up!

Check to see if you have "Hide Pet Action Buttons" turned on in your "Other" tab. If it's on, you might not be seeing the stuff you need. I have the vehicle interface on my list of stuff I'm working on for the next version, and I might include the keybind "wipe" when you enter a vehicle and rebind upon exit, as a feature you'll need to turn on. We'll see...

Oh I forgot to mention that in last post. No, I don't have anything in LS hiding the pet bar or any bar as a matter of fact... so I'm not sure what it may be. I'll keep looking into it and see if I notice/find anything that might give a clue. thnx.

Its actually a function that is bound with Blizzard's default action bars. I didn't see them either until I turned on one bar again via Bartender4 and allowed it to do the auto paging so that when I am in a vehicle or w/e I see the commands. The pet bar will not show these functions as i have mine not hidden - there are a couple of situations when the pet bar does populate (I can't think of which off the top of my head) however the majority of the "extra" actions now populate via the paging functions on the default action bar. Hope that made some sense Moon

Okay, I'm going to go out on a ledge here. I'm going to assume that people who do not want the vehicle interface artwork to show are the same people who also hide the bottom bar artwork. So, I'm lumping the Vehicle UI artwork hiding into the "Bottom Bar Artwork" hiding section of the Hide UI stuff, since the Vehicle UI artwork functions as the bottom bar when it's up. The buttons and other "clickable" sections of the Vehicle UI will still appear, floating on your screen at the bottom, but this is better than being totally hidden from the user. Hiding all features of the Vehicle UI except for the 6 action buttons will prevent users from doing a few things such as exiting the vehicle, changing seats, etc. If your Vehicle UI is totally hidden because you are using another action bar addon that does this, unless that addon also provides to you the other "special" buttons, you will be missing some key features of the vehicle. LS does not tamper with these.
I have not been inside any combat vehicles, so I'm not sure if other elements of the vehicle UI are being affected or not. Still, from running just LS, I have seen no strange issues with the UI with my next version.
I have code in place that, upon entering a vehicle OR possessing someone, the keybinds are reconsidered and if you have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 0 keybound, it will be ignored in favor of a possible possess/vehicle keybind existing. This way, the possess bar keybinds will function when you get it up, the same as the vehicle.
I have not experienced any issues with this layout from testing, I haven't had any situations arise where the buttons did not work (they work via clicking them or via keybinds). I tested the posses bar with the Ghoul that the DK turns into, and this is the same possess bar that appears during various other situations. So, unless there is something else I'm missing, LS seems to be working with the vehicle/possess bar just fine with the next version.

I'm not sure whether to post here or in the testers wanted thread but I'm getting some of the same behaviour with the rocket car Christmas present. I play a "pet class" my warlock, and when I summon the car the demon's pet bar gets replaced by the rocket car controls (no big deal) but the keybinds get all screwed. Blizzard defaults the "crash command" to keybind 1 but it appears on the pet bar in place of action 5 (or maybe it's 6). While doing the following I had "hide pet bars" off (double negative, I had pet bars showing) 1. When I try to use keybind "1" WoW tells me I don't have a target. One is my LS keybind for shadowbolt so of course I don't have a target.
2. When I try to use the various [ctrl]-number hotkeys for pet actions nothing happens. 3. If I disable my shadowbolt keybind I can use "1" to activate the rocket car ability just fine.
I think these issues stem from some mis-communication about whether it is a pet action or a new spawned actionbar, IMHO

The car pops up a possess bar, and the new version (which I was going to release yesterday but was gone most of it) will disable the keybinds 0-9 on LS when the possess bar pops up, so the possess bar will function. So, you'll be fine with the new version. I haven't released it yet because I'm adding the last two features LS needs:
1) Credits Screen 2) Startup window for the first time it's ran, asking if you want a blank sphere, a generic template, or the class template loaded. To help newbies out.

Version 812 is now available! Please check the latest post in the Stage 8 Changelog thread for details on what I added, changed, and fixed. Note! This is most likely the last version before the public release. Unless there is a bug that needs to be addressed, this version is feature complete. All I need to do now is localization, so if anyone can help, please let me know in the new Localization Time! thread! There are features that obviously never made it, and those will come after the public release. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Oh, I should mention, awesome quote. I <3 me some Wonderland stuff. Although I admit that it took a while to sink in... Cookies and milk go to you Moon! And a complete rendering of the poem. Enjoy! 'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. "Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!" He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood a while in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One two! One two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. "And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!" He chortled in his joy. 'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

More trivia, IIRC that is the first mention of a "vorpal blade" a semi-standard fantasy RPG item
