For the "Use best mount" button, I'd like it to actually cast different mounts than it's casting. Is there a way I can do that? I.E. I'm a Warlock, so for the ground, I'd love to use my Felsteed. However, it keeps picking the Swift White Charger. In the air, it's choosing Violet Netherwing Drake, and I'd rather use one of my gryphons. Now, I'll admit, I'm being a lazy *@#$ and not wanting to give up 2 buttons for this

Besides the "random mount" button type, there is currently no way to do this. I suppose a macro could be made, with the conditionals, so it picks a specific mount for flying and a specific mount for ground stuff.
I do plan to add "random best mount" "random best ground mount" and "random best flying mount" which will pick only the epic versions of the mounts. Before, when it was "use best" ... people usually only carried one or two mounts on them, since we had bag issues. Now, since they are spells, people have a LOT of mounts to mess with at one time and I might need to retire the "best mount" and make it random anyway... because I can't actually determine which is the "best" of the epic mounts right now since I can't view their speed until AFTER they are summoned, which is a little backwards, but whatever. I can at least determine if it's a fast or slow mount ... but since there are 2-3 types of fast flying mounts, it's a little hard, hehe.
Sooo ... another thing people have asked for is a mount screen similar to the reagent tab or speech tab where I can let the user determine the odds each mount will be summoned with. So, if you don't care about any ground mount EXCEPT your Felsteed, you could set all ground mounts to 0 chance and make your Fel be 100%. The flying could then be set to all 0% except the several gryphons you have have, all set to 100% (or rather, set to be randomly selected). I'm leaning toward a mount database that users can set on a per-mount basis...

That would be fantastic! Also sounds like it might be a pain in the arse to program. But if you get it done, more power to ya!

One thing I've been seeing from other mount addons is to be wary of Northrend. It appears that some mods will check to see if a zone is flyable before the user is flyable.
Basically, it will check to see if a zone (i.e. Dragonblight) is a flyable zone, and if so, set up the button for a flying mount. It won't then subsequently check to see if the user bought "Cold Weather Flying" (or whatever they will call it), and then will give a "can't use that item" error.

I haven't added Northrend support yet for the fly code, so it won't turn up anyway. My code, when it includes Northrend (probably around the time the exp launched), will check for that skill before deciding if the player can fly in the Northrend zones. ... I think all the Northrend zones are flyable, aren't they? Or are certain ones not flyable? I know all zones in Outland are, so I only assume Northrend will be as well

All of Northrend will be, as long as the player has Cold Weather Flying, which you can pick up at 77. The devs didn't want you flying over the first 7 levels in Northrend >.>

correction: Dalaran is a no fly zone. you cant summon you flying mount there.
Must be somewhere in dalaran when you can summon it, cause it would suck having to use the crystal al the time to get down and then fly.
havent tested mounting everywhere in dalaran yet, only got my Cold weather flying last night (very late)
