Okay, let's see if I can explain this correctly. Let's assume you have a detached "open menu" style button. You can alter the menu angle and menu offset, but you can't change the menu anchor point. It's always the first button in the sub-menu. What was that? You say "so what?". Well! Let me tell you! I would like to be able to anchor the sub-menu on the "middle" button. That way, when I click the detached "open menu" button, my sub-menu buttons will appear centered above it, or below it, or next to it. I suppose this doesn't just apply to detached buttons of course... but consider if you want the sub-menu to be center aligned at the top of your sphere? Now, reading some of the other threads about multiple spheres and the like, this may figure into that in some form, but I figured I'd put it out there. If this is just causing peeps to scratch their heads, let me know and I'll do my best to draw up and example of what I'm talking about.

I totally understand what you're describing I plan to offer different ways for the menu to open, or at least offer X and Y offsets that will shift the menu around and could potentially do what you want. An example for the offset idea: Button has menu opening to the right. Set the offset X to be -100, and the offset Y to be 30. This will force the first button to move to the left 100 pixels and up 30 pixels and with all 12 buttons full, make the submenu buttons appear to be "centered" above the menu button. This is probably the easiest idea and would offer better or more customized placement. One could even have all 10 buttons on the sphere be menu buttons and when you click them, the submenu buttons can appear VERY far away, almost like action bars. I might go with this idea in the near future, but I don't think it will be in before the public release. Maybe the first release AFTER the public release though
