For implementing the Icon, Cooldown, and Count on the main sphere, here's what I suggest for a way to implement them:
For Icon, you could have an option on the Skin tab for the Main Sphere of "Use Sphere Button Icon" that would look to the Button Setting menu for the Main Sphere and then use the icon for whichever button was checked.
For Cooldown and Count, you could have two options in the Sphere tab, in the menu where it says what text goes on the sphere, of "Use Sphere Button Cooldown" and "Use Sphere Button Count" which would also check the Button Settings for the main menu and grab the text from it.

Either I'm psychic or we just think like good programmers. And as I'm currently unable to read my girlfriend's mind, I'd have to go with the latter.

Good programmers it is. I dunno, it just makes sense. Plus, that can kill two birds with one stone for now. If you want a specific reagent count to appear on the sphere itself, drag the item to a middle click or right click action on the sphere and set the count to that item, bam. You got an ankh count, or shard count, or whatever else count ... right there.
Move the Shammy self-rez there and set the cooldown text to be for the rez ability, you got a rez timer on the button. ;D

I have another suggestion that's been bouncing around my head for a while. It's slightly off-topic, but I didn't want to make a new forum topic and it is kind of related: Make an option for the inner/outer gauges to show a spell's cooldown, similar to the "5-second rule." You could make that a drop-down option that, when selected, adds a single button slot (instead of the three for L-R-M clicks) under the drop-down menu (or at the bottom of the window) that you can drop a spell or item onto. You probably wouldn't need the option to select the type of what goes in since only spells and items have cooldowns. Oh and it should probably ignore the global cooldown by default since that would really waste animation cycles whenever a spell was cast (though some people might want the option to have the global cooldown on a gague...*shrug*).
