So I finally started using all the new button options that you have that use the item recognition and everything works exactly how it is supposed to. The thing I don't like is the way the use strongest mana potion and healing potion are set up. Picture this:
During a boss I take a whoping 8k damage somehow and I need health right then or im gonna die, and I need a lot of it. Nowmally what I would do is pop an health stone and a healing pot at the same time. You can do this b/c they share different cooldowns. Now if you have more then one healthstone in your inventory and are using the LS premade button, you would click the "health" button, use your healthstone, but then the next healthstone w/ a cooldown appears instead of a healing pot. Same thing goes w/ mana gems and mana pots.
Basically I am suggestiong that you allow LS to adjust the priority of the itemsw based on cooldowns so there the "strongest" or "weakest" item is always up, however that can change to something else if it is on cooldown.

I'm glad you brought that up Exuro....it was on my mind the other day and I failed to post that idea to Moon myself. Elesarr

Hmm I thought moon had said somewhere he was going to add an option for the Strongest/Weakest Health stone seperately so they had a different button.... Or is that already the way it is...
Or is it that, what you want is for it to say do Strongest healing item as opposed to strongest Healing Pot or Healthstone...

@ Larania As it works now for use strongest healing/mana - if you have a health stone or mana gem in your inventory it is registered as the highest item even though they have cooldowns. So if I use my healthstone/mana gem it is replaced with another healthstone/ mana gem (if there is one in my inventory) and the health/mana pots do not show up so I have to open my bags or have the mana/health pots on a seperate button to use them. Whereas, if they were recognized by their cooldowns instead then I can pop a healthstone/mana gem and follow it up with a health or mana pot because the stones/gems are on cooldown and the pots are not. Thus I can use one button to manage all my health needs and one button for my mana needs. Make more sense? Ele

Elesarr brings up a good point that I failed to notice or check. When an item is selected as the best potion, I don't check for cooldowns. I will need to check the healthstone cooldowns and if it exists, to skip it and assign the potion. However, I also need to make sure that if the potion cooldown is ALSO going, that I assign whatever of the two will be ready FIRST.
I will need to add the "Use Weakest/Strongest Healthstone" and "Mana Stone" either way. The problem with being in battle is that the buttons cannot update to a new item. Healthstone is lucky, because you might have two healthstones with the same name (but different stats) and you'll still be able to use them. However, once you use all of your potions, or all of your healthstones, the button won't update to a new item because of the combat lockdown.
So, for the potion buttons, user may have to resort to left-click being health potion, right click being health stone (if they use 'em).
I'm still thinking of an easy way to make this system work. The combat lockdown is the biggest hurdle.
I will probably consider the idea of changing the the potions options to:
"Use (weakest/strongest) health potion" "Use (weakest/strongest) health potion or healthstone" (or "Use (weakest/strongest) healing item") "Use (weakest/strongest) mana potion" "Use (weakest/strongest) mana potion or mana stone" (or "Use (weakest/strongest) mana restoring item")
This way, users who don't burn through health pots AND healthstones in a fight (a typical casting class I suppose) could just use the "potion or stone" combo, while a tank or melee class could use the "potion" option and assign a separate "stone" option.
I know of a way to make the buttons update in combat for items. It's a slightly crazy idea, really messy, and I don't think it has been attempted before. I just don't think it would work with the current button setup I have now (especially once the stance support is added ... that might ruin this concept). When I finished LS, I'll look into that option and surprise people. Maybe ... one day. The risk is that it could break the button, and I'm not keen on that until I tested the hell out of it to the point where I know it won't break.
