I was wondering if it would be possible to make an option to lock the menus open, so I couldn't accidentally close them. I use LS as my entire menu of spells, and sometimes I end up accidentally clicking on one of the menu buttons and closing it in the middle of combat. I wonder if it would be possible for it to save this setting for every time you log onto your character, so I wouldnt have to keep re opening the menus like I do right now. That's it I guess. I don't need this option too badly right now, it would be nice if it were possible in the future. ^-^ I want you to work on anything you want right now, I love this addon.

In theory, when the menu opening features are implimented ("always open in combat," "always closed in combat," "always open out of combat," etc) you'll be able to set "always open in combat" and "always open out of combat" and your menu will never close.
This actually brought up a good thing for me to add code for, because with my original idea, if you clicked the menu button, it will open or close anyway.
Soooo ... either a "lock menu as open" feature or code to prevent the menu from entering a state that is the opposite of which it is assigned needs to be added. If you close a menu that is "always open in combat" AND "always open out of combat" ... it should never close, even if you click it. ;D Otherwise, it's not doing its job.

Yes please... I'm trying to use this AddOn in place of my Bartender bars entirely... and it's super difficult without the option to remember menu open and closed position. I'll get rid of Bartender completely once that's added. =) (Oh, and range coloring of buttons)

As for the menus staying open, that will be added. Although the way I imagine it will be that if you want a menu always open (like an action bar) you'll want to set the "always open in combat" AND "always open out of combat" flags for the button. This way, the menu will never close, even if you click the mouse button to close it. I'll also need to add code that will save the open/close state of the menu button when you log out. This way, when you log in, the menus will be open. Of course, this will only work if the button is not set to "hide on mouseout," as that will close the menu anyway. As for the range coloring, the icons should change to a red tint when a spell it out of range, and blue tint if you don't have enough mana. This, of course, only works for spells. I know that the macro buttons don't work this way yet, so they are always "in range" at the moment. This goes back to another post where I was talking about not all the macro functionality is in place, so cooldowns and range checks are not active yet, for macros

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. I did mean for macros. I was already aware that it was something to be looked at, hence why I'm not suggesting it but, rather, anticipating it. Another thing I did just notice... When disabling LS in the AddOns section, and then re-enabling it, it doesn't remember it's position.. so it resets itself to the center of the screen. Not sure if this is tied to remembering it's menu state or not.

As for the resetting of its position, its due to the fact that LS uses the saved location from WOW's internal data. If you disable it and log in without it on, the data is purged from within WOW and the next time to turn it on and load up WOW, since the data doesn't exist, it goes to the default location. I might add the position of the sphere to the LS settings, to counter this issue in the future. As for the in range, out of mana, and cooldowns of macros, I have added the code and it will be in the next patch which is coming tonight or tomorrow night. It drives me nuts when the buttons don't function the way they should, and I never knew that macros had the ability till someone mentioned it. Haha. Thanks again
