After a three month hiatus, I finally, I got WotLK installed and rejoined WoW... and updated all my addons.
There seems to be really only one glitch with LS that pops up, and it does it almost constantly: my macro icons do not update until I press a modifier key. My macros will change based on several of the modifier types: help/harm, combat/nocombat, and modifiers.
When I switch targets to a friend from a foe, it doesn't update the icon, though the macro will behave as though I did. The button DOES nearly instantly react and shade the icon if the person is out of range, though. If I use a modifier key, though, usually that pops it back into place (though hitting ctrl is almost becoming a nervous tic now).
I really need to see the icons to remember/relearn what each macro does - is there a way to get the pictures to react faster/consistently?
Thanks, and LS still rocks!

Could you give me an example of one of your macros that you are using? I made one macro to try things out and it seems to work fine:
#show /cast [help] Flash Heal; Renew
So, if I click on a friendly, I'll flash heal them (icon changes and tooltip changes, as usual). If I have no target, I see Renew. LS has an update frequency of once every 0.3 - 0.4 seconds ... ish. If you switch targets or do anything that would cause the icon to change (modifier buttons, for example, or target switching), the icon will update in that time frame. This was done so keep CPU use down, as making the refresh time faster will increase the CPU use and could drop a frame or two for your FPS, which isn't much for a lot of people, but there are some who run WOW with 10-15 FPS ... and I want to make sure they can enjoy WOW still =)
However, if the macro isn't updating in 0.3-0.4 seconds and it only updates when you press a modifier button, maybe the macro is a little odd and LS isn't handling it properly, or there is something else going on that I need to nail down. So, a sample macro would be great! =)

Sorry for the late reply! And if LS is updating that often, then that may be why I'm having a little trouble. The following is an example of one of my macros:
/cast [help,nomod]Prayer of Healing(Rank 6);[harm, stance:1, nomod]Mind Flay; [harm,nomod,nostance]Smite;[mod:ctrl,combat]Mass Dispel;[mod:alt,combat]Hymn of Hope;[mod:alt]Potion Master;[mod:ctrl]Gnomish Engineer;Black Coffee
I use one of these for each numpad key, and it sorts it depending on the context. It seems as though the newest version may function perfectly fine, just a bit laggy.
Is there a way I could speed up the refresh rate, as that seems to be what's been the trouble?

Um, I haven't tested this, but you can try editing one file and changing a number. Try this:
1) Open the moduleButtons.lua file 2) Do a search for this phrase: if (self.elapsed > 0.4) then 3) Replace the 0.4 with 0.2 4) Save and reload your UI.
If this helps, awesome. If it does help, but you still want it to be faster, try 0.1 ... but know that you will grind your CPU usage a little more if you make the number smaller. When I get a chance later today, I'll load up LS and test out that code change.

Perfect! This did precisely what I was hoping for. I'm a bit of a twitch gamer, and having fast, subtle reminders helps immensely. I'm still getting 16-20fps, which is a couple frames lower than normal, but worth it, in my opinion. Thanks a lot for this, LS is nearly flawless now
