Hey everyone! I'm back from my small vacation and will be begin working on version 809 today. It won't be RELEASED today, but work will be started again, hehe. Here is a small list of things making their way into this version, for the curious at heart:
There will be more, but that is a list of stuff I've added or am working on. I might throw in some extra stuff that people are not anticipating as well, depending on time. My goal (like I always say, haha) is to finish this stage within two weeks. I want to get this finished by the time my fall semester ends, so I can enjoy the holidays and goof around ... as well as work on some new projects on the horizon. In other words, my goal is to finish LunarSphere by January 1st. This will include localization.
I will google translate for all languages at first and let people who wanted to help out with the localization stuff send me "proper" translations that don't sound quite so broken or dumb =) I have had some people send me some localizations already, which is awesome, but there are some parts of LS that are not in the "Locale" section yet that are hard-coded which need to be localized as well. When I finish up the localization code, it will be much easier to actually see what needs to be done
So, here's hoping that I can finish this up within the next couple weeks and get everything ready for a public release for January 1st, 2009. Almost two years in the making, I don't even know where the time went... and it's all because I have awesome people on this message board to help with bug reports, suggestions, complaints, and praise. Seriously, this project is pretty much designed by the community here, and I just write the code =)
- Rogue template
- Renaming the "Energy Drinks" button type catagory to "Energy Drinks and Poisons" to make room for the new "Apply best (poison type) to main hand" and the off-hand variety. There will not be support for the "weakest" type, and if you want to apply weak poison to your weapons, a simple "Apply to weapon" button type with the specific poison you want will work best. Unless I'm mistaken, there are only 4 poison items with "ranks" which are "Anesthetic Poison," "Deadly Poison," "Instant Poison," and "Wound Poison." The other poisons I found on wowhead don't have ranks attached, so there isn't a need to find the "best" of those types. I'm hoping this is the case, as 4 poisons, with main and offhand applying status, means 8 new buttons types and the Energy menu has room for 8 more, so that's why I made this decision to combine the categories. If any rogues out there can prove me wrong and point out another poison that does have a rank, please do so I can make some changes before I finish this section. I don't think Blizzard will add anymore, but if they do in the future, I'll just have to do something else =)
- Shift modifier fix for macros
- Self and focus cast modifier fix for "last used submenu action" types.
- Button update fix for the 10 main buttons (sometimes they don't actually do anything until you reload the UI, this was a mix-up on my part, my bad =)
- Flyable mount selection now available in Northren.
- Other bug fixes
- Some optimization for a little bit faster code =)
- Some code changes for the item recognition system so that more, or all of the new food and drink in WotLK is recognized (food/drink combo foods, prior to this version, aren't recognized)
