I have a mage that I currently use a focus-casting polymorph macro on... set to randomly cast pig or sheep. I'm working on getting turtle, and eventually the black cat... That'll definitely make my macro far too long. So here's what I'm wondering... I know on LS, one of the button options is to cast on a focus target. So, if I set my macro up like, say...
/focus /castrandom {spells}
then set it to the focus cast option... that should work the same as my current mess of a macro, right?

In theory, yeah... but I suppose I would need to test macros with the self and focus cast stuff, but they should work.

Alright. I'll try re-writing my macro and testing it out. Thanks

wait, wait, wait! LS has a "cast on focus" feature like the "cast on self"? Learn something new everyday. It won't change my fear macro because that does things like sets the current target as focus if I don't already have a focus, etc.

From the sounds of things, I'll get to make another focus-cast macro for my Shammy at 80! lol

LS does have built-in support for the "self-cast" modifier that you can turn on in the WOW interface (default as ALT) and if you just hold ALT and click a button, it will try to self-cast it for you, without the need of a special type. With the 3.0 patch (I think?) they added a focus-cast modifier that one can turn on and assign the same way that the self-cast modifier is assigned. Right now, the buttons do not support the built-in focus cast, but I will turn that on as well so the buttons act more like the official blizz buttons. The "focus-cast" button type was added a few versions ago. It was listed in the Changelog thread =P I know that a majority of people don't read it because it's long, boring, or they don't know it's there or they don't care. But I really do hope people read it for knowledge because it does have some important info sometimes that you would never know unless you checked it =) ... like the focus-cast ability I'll be adding soon, as well as the new button type I'm making for Rogues
