Programming is just like any skill. At first you're not good, because you're learning and have a lot of stuff to learn. After a while, you develop your own groove and you basically go from there. If I just started playing basketball and decided to play against my friend who's been playing for 10 years, you'd have to pick up my shattered pieces from the court.
I've been doing this for 15 years for a hobby. 3/5 of my life. I've made a LOT of mistakes during that time too. I'm still making mistakes, haha.
I love programming simply because it gives me a way to focus my creative energies into something and see results as it happens. I also like puzzle solving (god I loved games like Myst, and other logic games), and programming gives me that with broken code and bugs, haha. Just like this menu issue I'm STILL trying to conquer. But when I do, it's gonna feel GREAT.
I personally think everyone should try their hand at programming. WOW gives you a pretty easy language to learn and it's fairly simple to get started.
Maybe when I'm finished with the beta of LunarSphere I could drop some "programming in WOW" tutorials up onto the LunarSphere website I'll have. Convert more to the ways of addon making...

I guess talking about logic puzzles kicked my brain and told me to look at the code a little differently (I kept looking at the spell assignment code, since that was the issue I was having while converting the menu to a spell action) ... but the issue was in the menu code from creating the right-click menu functionality. I guess that code was over-writing the left-click stuff, thus breaking the button.
Woot, problem fixed! I can now start linking all the code I needed to get the rest of the button types working. ! ;D
*leans back into the chair, quite satisfied*

Hi Moon, I think your idea and progress with Lunar Sphere is great I've already replaced my Venates Hunter Mod & Arcanum with yours. One question I have is regarding your first image post, there's the stance option. Whats the use of this option? And I see for your example its for druids. Any idea if the Hunter Aspects would work as well (well, I mean if the function suits it)? thanks ;D

Sadly, the Stance support will only register for people who have stances. I don't think it will work for Hunters, so you'll just see one icon in the stance support bar (your portrait) and it will be grayed out and non-checkable. When the stance support is added, you'll see an icon for each stance you can get into. If you're a priest, you'll see a shadowform icon if you researched it, druids will see all the forms they have, rogues will see the stealth icon when they have it, and warriors will have their stances as well (I guess, haven't checked into it). Welcome to the board Glad you're liking it. Please hang in there as I add new features that break and unbreak LunarSphere. Sadly, testing does that

I know they use the same stance bar as rogues/druids/warriors but not sure if its considered a stance or not.

I'm not sure. I'll look into it though. Usually a stance gives you the ability to use abilities that you can't use while not in that stance. Does throwing an aura on as a pally give you access to new spells or abilities that you can't use otherwise? (Wish I had a pally. Actually, I think I have a level 10 pally running around, haha)

nope sure aren't have 2 Pallies one is L70. All they have is a "class" bar that allows them to change their auras which does not affect what they can or cannot do. Unlike Druids that have "class" bars which allow them to change form and change their abilities, stealth mode for rogue, shadow form for priests and of course the "class" bar which holds all the warrior stances. Now I think it would be a great idea if Moon is able to put the class bars onto the sphere then I could add my pallie auras to the sphere. Of course, I don't want to bog Moon down with more requests and will just use macros to place my class bars onto the sphere and use CTMOD to hide my class bars Ele

Couldn't you just drag your aura from the spell book and drop it on a button, essentially assigning your aura? Granted, it doesn't "shine" or whatever when it's currently active ... but does that work too?

It does... I did it with my 45 Palli with no problems Would be interesting to see the option to set up a menu style button pre-populated with the Aura's but that's just one of those things that you can get too later

I might make a menu option in the future that has pre-populated submenu buttons. There was a suggestion on the suggestion board for buff scrolls/potions etc., which might be a good use of this menu type. Imagine going to the "Menu" dropdown item and you can assign "Open Menu" ... or you can select "Open Populated Scroll Menu" and the submenu buttons are composed of each scroll in your inventory.
That would be a great feature to add in the future. It could populate all your stances (great for druids) populate your auras or aspects.

I'm sure many will find your mod great ! Edit: I just happened to come across the Necorsis UI page at Curse. The people are so stupid to forget that LS is still in beta stage lol. Nevermind the "ugly flat colours"

Granted, it doesn't "shine" or whatever when it's currently active ... but does that work too? That's exactly what i have done with my little level 43 Belfadin. I was really more curious than anything, i do not see a real reason to change around your bars based on the aura you are using. On another note, i actually think that blizzard should implement something right into the game for hibrids such as paladin and shaman (i have both). For instance, a shaman should have a "Enhancement", "Elemental" and "Restoration" stance of sorts and a paladin should have "Holy", "Retribution" and "Protection" stances. anywho, im going way off topic here. i appreciate the reply
