Saturday and Sunday are going to be spent working on Stage 4. I can't promise anything, but *maybe* I'll have a part of Stage 4 for people to test on Monday. Either way, I'll have something by Weds. I might not have the skin tab created by then, but I'll see what I can do (maybe make the skin changing button cycle through all the skins, instead of the basic 5)
We'll see...

I don't know if the current skinning method would be best now with so many skins because you would have to cycle through a million times to figure out what you want. I have two possible suggestions. Make a window that display's all the skins at the same time and then you can just click on one and lunar sphere will automatically update itself. The other idea which I don't like as much is just an enhances version of what you have now. You click the button and it scroll's through the skins by updation them on lunar sphere, however add support to go back and foward in the lineup and also something to tell you which skin you are on so you can remember and compare the ones you like.
I much more prefer the first way because I think it would making choosing and comparing all the skins the easiest.

Since you are adding center sphere button clicking in stage 4, I was wondering where you were going to display the cooldlwn timer? For example, say I want to put my trinket or say evocation on one of the center sphere assignments, where the timer would be b/c text events already take up the center of the sphere.

should not effect the cooldown display.
we can put our portrait in the center sphere now and it displays both text and portrait if they are both enabled.
so I imagine that we could instead of portrait display a cooldown image like on the menu buttons and depending on which item we used would determine which cooldown is displayed..I'd think a spiral coolddown would work best.
and if I'm way off base then consider it a suggestion Moon....lol ;D

A bar around the sphere wouldn't be exact. Im planning on using the center sphere for my trinkets and a numerical timer would make timing everything more reliable.

Make a window that display's all the skins at the same time and then you can just click on one and lunar sphere will automatically update itself. That's pretty much how the Skin tab will be created. It will have a display list of all button skins as well as all sphere skins. You just click the image you want and it will change it. Select the color you want, and it changes it. Maybe my post was a little confusing, sorry about that. Stage 4, when it is finished, will have the Skin tab. I am not sure if I would be able to finish the Skin tab in time for the partial Stage 4 release on Weds (or Monday, if I get a lot of work done this week). So, as a bonus, I thought I would just add the skins anyway, but have them cycle with the debug button that already exists, since that would require very little work. Of course, I could choose not to include the new skins until the Skin tab is finished, and deny everyone a chance to use the new skins until I'm finished with the Skin tab (which might not be until I'm back from my vacation in 5 weeks from Weds) That's all I didn't really think much about it. I was planning on just letting you click the sphere with left-middle-right clicks, and the sphere text display will still be whatever you selected from the sphere text display dropdown. The sphere text display will have support (soon) for a customized cooldown (just drag whatever you want to track into the tracking square). I might be able to add an event: "Last used action cooldown from sphere" which will display the cooldown for the last item/spell used from the sphere button. I might also just add a cooldown timer to the sphere button, similar to the cooldown timer on the normal buttons, and position it on the bottom of the sphere image instead of the middle, so you can have both options. I haven't thought about setting the sphere texture to be the same as one of the sphere click actions, but I can add that if you like.

that is not what I meant by spiral cooldown a spiral coolddown appears on the button itself in the case I suggested the center of the sphere where currently we can display our portrait but instead the image of your trinket for example. After activating the trinket the image would become shadowed and would spiral clockwise revealing the button again in normal state once the cooldown was over (see screen shot) however, as it stands you would only be able to see one cooldown at time if you have trinkets assigned to all three buttons clicks on the sphere - in fact, even with what Moon was going to do with adding it off center toward the bottom one would still only be visible at any one time. I just wanted to clarify what I meant by "spiral cooldown" since I seemed to cause some confusion. My solution is going to be a menu for trinkets that is visible only during combat and I can easily select the trinket and monitor its cooldown state as it is really only important during combat in my situation, since trinkets can not be changed out during combat, so only two need to be monitored - or I'll just stick with using the mod in the screen shot called "cooling" it displays up to 10 cooldowns at one time and can be set for digital readout instead of the shadow effect like shown and in doing it this way I can keep the menu closed and use my left and right click to use my two "combat" time" trinkets and then open the menu to change out and use my "engineer" trinkets I use for out of combat anyhoo.....like I said just wanted to clear up what I meant by "spiral cooldown" Ele

I implimented the code for vendor gossip bypassing (only a few lines of code, so it was easy). It will be in Stage 4. As of right now, it simply checks the vendor options (the first option) and if it is a taxi, battlegrounds, vendor, or bank option, it will open it up. This will make sure that when you go to a trainer, it won't automatically dump you into the talent changing screen, or if you goto an innkeeper, it won't automatically set your hearthstone.

Okay, another "productive" day at work. So, with the free time, I whipped up a few images for the sphere skin. These might not be final, and I might scrap them all, but this is what I made so far today. The 6 on the top are the original art files. The ones below them are the same image, but tinted via the sphere color option (but emulated in photoshop). You might notice that the top-left sphere art is a remake of the original sphere art that currently exists. The original art was slightly low-rez, so it wasn't as crisp as I wanted. So, here's the new version to compare with the old one:

Looks great. I have a feeling the 1st 3 columns will be used the most just bacause of the amount of information that people will want the sphere to show. The eye's may not make it as clear. But anyway, nice work, especially on the upgraded graphics. If you care, my favorite is the blue one in the first cloumn:)

Yeah, I'm a fan of anything blue, so I especially like the blue tint on the left. ;D In LunarSphere news, I just upgraded LunarSphere to have 12 buttons per menu, instead of 10. That was a nightmare, let me tell ya I also have conversion code in place to convert your current submenu buttons to the new format, so you won't lose any data. With that said, I'm not sure if I'm going to let people increase or decrease the submenu button counts like I originally stated. 12 buttons, in my opinion, are plenty for what people should need per menu, especially when the stance support kicks in AND the keybindings in the future. Having a menu button open up with 20 buttons is a little much ... O.o The submenu compression still works fairly well in keeping the menu system clean, even if you place actions with gaps in between, so ... I dunno. If people REALLY want to set the submenu button count higher than 12, I'll make that change in the future, maybe before the public release

You are a talented artist my friend!
Not sure if you've answered this elsewhere, but will you be making it so third parties can make their own skin/graphic? I understand it probl wont be with the initial public release, i just think that by giving that sort of customization to the addon, you will increase its longevity.

Yeah, there will be an import feature in the skinning tab, similar to how DiscordArt lets you import stuff (I guess, since I never really used DA). Just copy the .TGA or .BLP file to the skin directory, type in the name of the file in the import screen, and the addon will remember it and display the new skin on the selection screen from then on. Probably Stage 5 will have that...

I am new to the forums, and to the mod, but I am happy to be here, and excited about helping you beta test.
My very first question is a simple on. I notice in your first post in this thread, on the first screenshot, that it shows menu angle. Does that mean using the menu button as the starting point, the sub buttons will go in whichever direction you set the slider?
The reason I ask this is because I use MazzleUI, and I have your mod placed just above the artwork on the right hand side. As a Mage, I would like my ports menu as my top button, but when I set it up, the sub buttons bar goes to the right, off the screen.
Thank you in advance for the answer.

Welcome to the boards! Always good to have more people help test out (especially if they find a bug and tell me about it, that's the best kind!) As for the menu angle, yes, when checked, it will open the menu in the direction you specify. Setting the angle to 0 will open straight up, and it will go clockwise from there. If you uncheck it, it will open in the default position. This will make your situation much more enjoyable ... I hope to have that feature in on my Weds evening Stage 4 release. If not, it will be within a couple days from that release, so keep your eyes peeled!
