Moon is certainly going to address these above mentioned issues, though to add my 2 cents I think that the main features should be focused on first then stuff like timers, etc.
I use Quartz for swing time, castbars, enemy castbars, mirror, focus, etc and don't plan on changing as it is very robust and as someone mentioned earlier such a thing would be a mod in and of itself.
Moon jokingly said this would be great to use LunarSphere to replace all elements of the UI and just have the Sphere there...while I Think Moon is well on the way to achieving this the major features should be finished to stay on track and not get Moon buried under a pile of requests that will delay the release of the public 1.1 version.
Keep up the great development and work Moon! ;D

I seriously want to post a picture of my UI to the "Show your UI!" threads on the WOW message boards with just a chat window and a sphere. I want people to go "wtf"
I know, I could set a button up to be based on a TARGET, then I can have the whole party, or an entire raid ... in a menu button.
... or have the minimap image, while in circle form, be the sphere's skin...
... ahhh, dreams ... ;D

Hi guys ! I don't know if it has been mentioned, but I'd love if one of the two spheres could display my pet experience... That's a very useful features that exists in Venantes, and is not implemented in Lunar... The display of the number of ammos on the sphere would be great too (but I recall this feature has already been brought up to your attention) Sorry if it has already been mentioned, I I've only discovered the addon and this forum recently And thank you very much for your work Moon, I've already ditched all my sphere addons and replaced them with Lunar !

Yup, in the process. I'm so focused on one section at a time that I don't really look at much else But who knows, maybe I'll add the pet xp AND the ammo very soon. Thanks for the input!

*cough* ahem ... while testing some issues with my level 18 hunter today, I decided to add the ranged ammo count to the sphere text display, as well as the pet xp to both the gauge and sphere text displays. I also learned that I can drag some food to a button and assign it to the left-click action, and then set "Feed Pet" to the right-click. If you right click the button, and then left click it, you feed your pet that item. Who would have guessed ... haha. I will be looking into a button type that will automatically assign food to the button that your pet likes, that way you easily do the left-click, right-click idea I just used. However, I need to find out a way to see what a food is in terms of the types. I know what fungus or meat look like, but I need to have LS be able to figure it out on its own. So, I'll be investigating a bunch of WOW API calls to see if I can do what I need to do. I don't want to resort to a list of food IDs, because if new food is added by Blizzard, it won't come up

I don't want to resort to a list of food IDs, because if new food is added by Blizzard, it won't come up That...is probably the coolest thing I've ever heard. I would NEVER have thought to do that. What my father and I miss (we're the healers in my household, Mom plays a feral druid) is the reagent tooltips that pop up when you mouse over the center sphere. Dad also misses the totem timers, but while I do REALLY miss my shackle timers and my poly times from Cryo and Serenity, I noticed that debuff icons now display the little spiral timers on my Xperl, and on the base ui (unless my boyfriend has a magic unit frame UI that ONLY does that and I just don't know about it). So I don't miss them so much. Does Quartz take up much memory? I use a crapton of mods for all kinds of different things already, and I really would like to have the timers but without the crazy extra lag, and my dad is trying to keep the number of mods he uses down to a minimum cause he's seen my addon folder (I download new mods like CRAZY...all the time...it's how I found LS) and he knows what crazy mods can do to your lag. In the meantime, I'll settle for staring at debuffs. ;D Oh, and also, about the Cryo conjure food/water thing...I think what used to happen on Cryolysis was that if you selected a lower level character and conjured the water, you would conjure according to the level of the character you had targeted(at least that was the idea, I can't remember for the life of me if that was ACTUALLY what happened because I only had to do that twice the entire time I was playing my higher level mage)... but if you had water your own level in your bags, you couldn't utilize the middle click to trade option because that option only worked for the strongest conjured water, the water it showed on the button. I honestly think that's unnecessary for LS, though. The only time you'll use it is if you're running your best friend's alt through RFC or VC or something of that sort, and normally you can tell by counting the water or food ranks which water/food to give that character. Even if you can't, guessing and checking works just as well.

I will admit that I really miss the audio warning and the ability to choose how long before your polymoprph is scheduled to break that you hear it. Moon, Crylosis would allow you to set the timer for the audio warning(mine was at 7 secs) before your poly would break, thus giving you time to retarget and repoly it before it came out. Or, if it was broken before that time, the audio warning would sound.. I miss my Bah-Ram-U sound And as I stated in another thread, I also miss Crylosis choosing my polymorph at random for me, then firing off the correct speech library to go with that poly. As mentioned earlier in this thread, the ability to set what bag your drink and food went to was nice, but not really badly needed. Those are the only three features Crylosis had that LS does not yet have.

The thing is once Moon adds support of a couple timers that people want, the list of requests to be added will just keep getting larger and larger. This will very much bloat the program with things it was really not meant to do, and not to mention double the size. Natur Enemy Cast Bar if very feature complete and has all the cooldown bars you could ever want. Plus in the last couple verions the author has done a lot of optimizing to make it much more lightweight.
Also, I think reagent count support is planned to be implemented in stage 7 or 8.

The timer I am speaking of for Crylosis is not a visual timer, but an audio warning 7 secs before the timer goes out, or the poly is broken early

I know the audio timer you are making reference to, Bloodeagle. It's the one that says Baa-Ram-U. I do admit I miss my timers... But Moon has stated he will add something like that... Or at least I think he did Hehe, so much on here and so many really great suggestions I bet he hardly has time to breathe

Great suggestions. The audio reminders will probably make it in later, hopefully before the public release of LS. I do miss them as well As for the reagent list on the sphere, I was thinking of actually creating a very, um ... "might be confusing, but in the end, might be kinda cool and powerful" button to the Sphere tab. My idea is this: There will be tooltip support for the sphere, where it will show the left-middle-right click events much like the normal buttons. You will also have an option: "Use extended Sphere tooltip" which can be checked on. There will be a button next to it that will say "Define tooltip." Clicking this will bring up a new window. This window will let you tick on and off several options. Your health and mana display, your mp5 display, and, um ... your level I think. Then there will be a reagent tracking box. This will be similar to the Reagent stocking screen, where you drag whatever you want to be displayed into the box. Everything in it will appear in your tooltip, along with the count. I can also add a cooldown box, if people would use it. It would let you drag whatever item or spell you want into it and it will also display the cooldown for that as well. This will let you customize what you want to see on your sphere tooltip. I, personally, probably won't use it because I don't raid much and don't really use reagents on my Priest. If I need to, I usually have it auto-stocked to 20 or 40, so I never run out. So yeah, there's an idea of mine... I'll be looking into the random polymorph spell idea as well. It will probably be a button type that will take care of everything for you. I bet he hardly has time to breathe Well, some people don't think I'm human and am actually a program. I don't *need* to breathe ... just reboot once in a while.

Really? There are tooltip addons like that? Man, for someone who makes addons, I really am clueless to what is out there.

Please keep in mind that people come to LunarSpheres primarily to arrange their buttons in clusters with pretty circles and all that For example, random polymorphs? Try this macro, guys... /castrandom Polymorph, Polymorph: Pig, Polymorph: Turtle Now on the other hand, there is functionality that the default UI has (as do mods that just move around Blizzard's buttons, like Bongos) that LunarSpheres does not. Take a look at the following macro: /castrandom [modifier:shift, target=focus] Polymorph, Polymorph: Pig; [modifier:ctrl, target=none] Polymorph, Polymorph: Pig; [nomodifier] Polymorph, Polymorph: Pig; This randomly chooses between my two polymorphs, however if I hold down the shift key while pressing the button, it will direct the spell towards my focus target. This is kind of a big deal Unfortunately, LunarSpheres does not support the [modifier] tags. By way of comparison with other mods, Moongaze, you can hop over to files.wowace.com and see for yourself, scrolling down to a mod called Sphere - a mod that aims for much the same functionality as LunarSpheres, but just in terms of button arrangement. While I get a lot of errors with Sphere, and it doesnt handle open/closing menus, it does support those macros fully.

Believe me, I'm fully aware of Sphere. The forum for Sphere on the Ace Forums slightly exploded with myself and other beta testers posting on it, exposing some issues with its original release (you'll notice that the gauges, or "circles" Sphere uses animates and fills the same way as LunarSphere, which is not an up-and-down or side-to-side fill, but is actually radial, because it was taken from LunarSphere, along with other code in the *original* release of Sphere). Anyway, the issue between the Sphere author and I has been over for a while, so I'll just leave it at that Yes, that addon does support the modifiers. Due to the way I let people delete buttons as well as create menus with the CTRL modifier and edit the buttons with the ALT modifier, I disabled the button's ability to accept the modifiers for clicking with macros. I will probably turn them on in the future, after I get some things sorted out with the button locking. I'm shooting for the idea of having the modifiers active while the buttons are locked, and while the buttons are unlocked for editing, they will be disabled as they are now. That way, ALT, CTRL, and SHIFT will have special usage in "edit" or "button unlocked mode" When this is done, I'll probably have an option in LS for the ALT modifier to target self, like the normal buttons do. Since these buttons will use keybinding in the future, that is a feature is needs to be available to people.

Have we mentioned lately Moon that you're our hero? If you manage to pull that little bit of voodoo off I think you can easily take the title of best mod developer EVER!!!!
