So, the 3.0 updating for LunarSphere is still going. I have the buttons casting spells now, but I'm not sure if the stance support fully works. I just figured out a way to have the menus open and close after a full day of frustration. But it's fun, and it IS like a game. You see, I have a fully functional LunarSphere in my hands. I know it fully works. However, the 3.0 patch hidden every useful thing it can do and I have to unlock it by beating levels. That's right, this whole thing is like some sick, twisted game. But, unlike most games where you beat it and a "Hey! You won!" screen appears with a movie and everything ... I'll get an upload screen, and I'll cry myself to sleep when my "reward" is to press the upload button on that screen so that everyone can enjoy it as if I just provided a cheat code or something.
... okay, so it's not that bad. But still, this is one crazy adventure.

If I Could I'd bake you some cookies and give them to you for all them long hours. I almost cryed when you said the 3.0 would brake it. You mod has same me so much time and space it does the job of at lest 5 other mods if you don't count all the classes I use it with Keep up the good work.

Very glad to see that this is going to be 3.0 compliant. Hopefully you can time a public release w/ the expansion. It's been close to two years of development if I remember correctly.
I stopped playing a few months back, and it's funny how I miss testing LS a lot more then I miss actually playing. But then again raiding BT and Sunwell was hellish in my guild so maybe that's why.

Well, started in April, "beta testing" started in May ... so it's been 16 months?

Looks like I beat the next level. My reward was "Ability to open and close windows," "Ability to show and hide buttons because of Edit Button mode," and "Stance support"
With the way the secure buttons are handled now, I might be able to make shape/stance changers happy and compress the empty buttons per stance, instead of there being a hole if an ability isn't there. Some changes were also made to the spell icon names for some of the templates, and an ability that I *thought* existed for Druids did not, so I fixed that issue as well. Yay, 3.0 support is coming along!

Looks like I was able to get the code right to compress the stance buttons, so we no longer need to have a stance bar have holes in it. It will compress if you have the option turned on. This will also filter down to the PET BUTTONS as well, so hunters and warlocks won't have to see holes in their pet bar anymore as well.
I fixed the cooldowns as well. WotLK will be introducing a new feature on the cooldown "square" which basically includes a bright edge to the radial line moving around in a circle. I REALLY want this feature on a button for a cooldown effect that users can choose from and, if Blizzard gives us a way to actually turn it on with CODE and not via the XML creation, then I'll be fairly happy. If not, I might include it anyway but will require a UI reload if you turn it on or off, because I don't want 260 cooldown objects created when I only need 130...
That's it for tonight. More info to come tomorrow most likely =)

Yay Moon! Sounds awesome I don't have access to any beta stuffies so I'll just be patient like everyone else! Someone in my guild today mentioned Bejeweled, and of course I told them that it's made by the genius who does Lunarsphere

This will be off topic of the forum. Sorry for any inconvenience wasn't sure where to put it.
My guild and I have used and tested your add-ons before (still do). A friend of mine told me to check out the website for other games. I must say you do a fantastic job not only keeping most people happy on Destromath server but as well making the game easier to teach. I have taught 4 family members and have gotten them addicted to WoW using your add-ons to make it easier for them. I thank you for that.
My cousin brought up a good idea that I would like to share with you. For your labyrinth game instead of a person looking for a torch to find the beacon, have you thought of a hamster or some kind of furry druid type shape? Everyone loves furry animals, however, I would not want this to discredit the game or make it a laughing stock of the town.
Let me know your thoughts you can contact me here or on alliance side of Destromath under Watersea/Watermystic.

Thanks for the kind words! As of right now, I don't have any immediate plans to update the Labyrinth game because, honestly, I have a lot of stuff on my plate. The reason I choose a torch is because it's a game play mechanic. You find the torch so you have one for the next next to keep the game lit up. If you don't grab the torch and you use the teleport beacon to go to the next level, that new level will be very dark since you don't have a torch anymore.
If I do add another update to the game, I could add another item to search for which is totally optional (maybe for the purposes of keeping score). The default might be a treasure chest, but I could let people choose from a few things if they would rather look for beer mugs, a furry animal, a jewel, etc., or let users select their own custom image that can be placed into the addon folder.
I have no idea when I will get to it, but if I update Labyrinth, I can do that at least. The torch would still be there, but there would be the extra "score" item to find.

Back to this. A few days ago, my hard drive crashed and I had to do some fun stuff to restore it. My hard drive is working again and I also have a new hard drive (yay!) so lots of storage now. Anyway, I started working on the 3.0 stuff again and here's the new stuff that I converted:
- The trinket button types work - The "Apply to weapon" button types work - Auto-self cast by holding ALT works again - Swapping works again (except for the main buttons) - Main button count works
I'm currently fixing these sections:
- Swapping for the main buttons - Submenu button count changing - Use last submenu button type - "Random" mount types (the "best" types need some work since we don't have items anymore ... which means I can't search via item level, which is what I used to do...) - Speech support.
Beta server just went down, so that's it for now. I'll try to get some more done tonight when they go back up, but if not, I'll continue work on Sunday, when I get back from BlizzCon =)

Thank you for all your work on getting LS updated for 3.0. I've been using it for a while now and honestly think I'd be a bit lost without it.

... I guess it's as close as it's going to get tonight. It doesn't seem to be too broken. I think the only thing that isn't working right now is the "mouse-off menu to close" and "time before menu closes" menu closing options... I'll be uploading version 0.8 in a little bit. Nothing really new added, just 3.0 support. Some optimization was made, but that's about it...
