So I got this addon recommended to me today. I got it today, and after some initial tinkering I got it started today as well. So far so good.
I play a warlock and this will hopefully replace Necrosis which was a bit too limited for me. However, the first thing that happens is that I set the main sphere to display Ammo Count, hoping to show the number of soul shards, and get a "0". I have 28. What gives?
More questions will follow, I am sure. Loving this addon so far.

Welcome to the boards! As for your question, ammo count is for ranged ammo for guns and bows. Shard count doesn't fall under ammo count =) If you would like to see your shard count, you have two options right now (with a 3rd to appear shortly, as it's the next thing on my list of things to add for the next release): 1) While "Button Edit" mode is on, drag a soul shard to an empty button. This will show you the item count for your soul shards at all times. It will use up a button, but then again, you do have 10 buttons around the sphere, and each of those buttons can be turned into a menu button for 130 buttons total, so one dedicated to soul shards wouldn't be too big of a deal for now. But, if you want the count on the sphere, we have option #2 2) While "Button Edit" mode is on, click the sphere itself to bring up the action assignments for the sphere. Drag a soul shard to the left, middle, or right click action. Scroll down and find the "Show count" option and set it to show the count of the click action for the soul shard. So, if you set the shard to the middle click of the sphere, set the "Show count" option to the middle-click icon. Next, bring up the LunarSphere settings window and set the sphere text event to "Sphere button count." It's a little bit of a hastle, but this is the best way to do it right now. With the next version or two of LunarSphere, I will be adding a new sphere text event and a new gauge event called "Item count" which will let you drag the item you want to track to the settings window. You can also set a "100% threshold" for the item, which defaults at the stack size, which is used for the gauge display (since it fills by percentage) or if you want to see a percentage display for the text as well. So, for soul shards, one could drag it in, set the threshold to 16, 24, 32, or whatever number they want, and if you set the display to be "value" ... you'll just get the number of soul shards, such as "13" If you set the display type of percentage, and your threshold is 16, you get "81%" (13/16) and your gauges will also be 81% full. Other than that, I'll be ready to answer any other questions you might have. Thanks for checking this addon out!

Ah, that took a bit of tinkering but now I have the number in teh central sphere. Thanks a lot. Will get back to you when the next problem arises. Edit: Ah, here we are. The number of soulshards does indeed appear, but as soon I start picking someting up (opening, mining, skinning) the number disappears and is gone for the times it takes me to mine and then about another second before it pops back up. Is this due to a check of my bags to see if it was a soulshard I just mined?

Honestly, it might be a bug. I changed a few things over the past couple versions that might have affected the display. I'll run some tests and see what's up. Thanks!

Found the issue and fixed it for version 712 Wow, that's an old one, too! Thanks for pointing it out. It was a naming conflict that would cause the sphere text to hide because it didn't recognize the new "sphere button count" event name I am using. It was looking for the old name I used.
