First of all, Moon, the addon looks great, even with empty buttons around the sphere. LS is exactly what I'm looking for.
I have a 70 lock, use Necrosis and a 34 shammie, use Totemus. I was looking for a generic sphere mod for all my toons (lots of alts). I tried an Ace2 mod called Sphere, but couldn't even get it to show on my screen. When I came across LS it was like a breath of fresh air. However, I can't get the buttons to work.
I'm testing LS on my mage. When the game comes up I see the sphere and 10 blank buttons surrounding it. I'm able to get the actions I want into the button, in this case left click for health pot and right click for mana pot. The tooltip says what I want it to do. I tired to test it but when I left or right click on the button, the button settings box comes up.
Am I do something wrong?
Thanks for your help,
Robert

Your sphere is in "Edit Button" mode. Move your mouse over the sphere and hold CTRL and left click or right click to bring up either the drop-down menu (and uncheck "Edit Buttons") or the LunarSphere Settings window (and uncheck "Edit Buttons" on the Sphere tab). I hope that helps you out.

That did it! You're a genius! Wait a minute, of course you're a genius, you created this thing. Ok, starting over from scratch to make sure I have everyting the way I want it. I'll post my feedback once I'm done. Thanks again.

I hope you enjoy! I like to remind people occasionally that you aren't limited to just 10 buttons. Each of those buttons can be turned into "menu" buttons which will spawn 12 more buttons to the side of it. Just head over to the "Button Settings" window for one of the 10 main buttons and set one of the click actions to "Open Menu" and save your button to gain access to those new buttons As much as I want to try and make LunarSphere easy to set-up and easy to use, some features are buried deep within its settings dialogs.

When you logged back on, did you have the sphere laying there with 10 empty buttons (that's the default starting layout, where you see 10 buttons but they are kinda transparent and waiting for actions to be dragged to them)? Or did you see a sphere with no buttons around it (Usually what happens if LS breaks due to an error while loading, preventing the buttons from loading properly)? Do me a favor and bring up WOW's main menu and go to the Interface options. Click the "Help" catagory on the left and on the options screen, at the bottom, make sure that "Show LUA errors" is turned on. If it was off, turn it on and reload the UI (log out, log on ... or type "/script ReloadUI()" in the chat exactly as you see it) I'm hoping that there was an error and you didn't see it and, because there was an error, LunarSphere didn't finish loading and broke. There was some issues with cooldown timers with version 709 that version 710 fixed, one of which was an issue related to a spell being on cooldown while you logged in, causing an error. I think you have version 710 already, but if not, grab it ASAP =) If none of this seems like your issue, and when you logged in you have a sphere with the 10 empty buttons around it, there might be another issue related to your saved variables and I would like to do some tests that I'll need your help with

Thankfully, I included button types that will open various menu bar buttons and the various bags too. Should make your life a little easier, eh? Glad it's working again, though!

I got a problem, I made the buttons too big in size that I can't grab the middle button to reset it. is there any /command that will allow me to open the settings window to fix it?

You can do: /script Lunar.Settings:ToggleSettingsFrame(); I'll be adding slash commands soon. They weren't really high priority until after LunarSphere was pretty much finished That will show your main sphere's settings window, which I think is what you wanted...

AWESOME!! Thank you so much! I was about to cry cause I messed it up right before us pulling Supremus in BT and was frantic, luckily I was able to play fine cause I still had my main bar hotkeys as Shadow but all my healing spells were messed up T_T but it's fixed now so ty very much. ^^ I just got this addon yesterday and I am loving it! it works for ALL of my toons and cleans up my UI very nicely. I was trying to convince my husband to get it but he's not a big mouse clicking fan so I was wondering if you plan to make the buttons hot-key-able to the keyboard? Like, number the main 10 buttons then when he holds down the button's number then right/middle/left clicks on the mob or screen it will use that button's abilities. Just an idea I thought might be awesome for all those keyboard lovers out there plus it will make using abilities in PvP and such a LOT faster. I don't know anything about mod-coding otherwise I would try adjusting it myself. ^_^

=) The keybind ability already exists, and you can bind each button's left, middle, and right click ability to a button. So, with 131 total buttons one could use, with 3 mouse clicks (left, middle, and right) per button ... we're looking at 393 actions that can be bound to keys You need to edit the keybindings, per button. To do this, make sure to place the sphere in "Edit Button" mode: 1) Hold CTRL and Left-Click the main sphere to bring up the dropdown menu and make sure "Button Edit" is turned on ... OR ... Hold CTRL and Right-Click the sphere to bring up the settings window, then visit the "Sphere" tab and make sure "Button Edit" is checked near the bottom Then, after button edit mode is turned on (there will be a yellow glow around the main sphere to give you a little indicator that it is on), just click one of the buttons. A new window will appear called "Button Settings" and, well ... there will be a LOT of data you can mess with. To the right of the left, middle, and right click action assignments, there will be a button called "Keybind." Click the button, then press the key you want to assign (or combination of Shift, Alt, and/or Control and the key). This will set the keybind to that button's click action. When finished with that button, click the "Save" button and go to the next button. So, if you want the 10 buttons around the sphere to activate if you press 1-10, open each button, click the keybind, hit 1, or 2, or whatever number you want to assign it, then save the buttons. Now, when you press "1" ... the top button's action will activate and you just click your target (unless you already have a target selected). The button settings window will let you fine-tune a lot of the buttons. It's more of an advanced settings mode, for those that want to do more than drag and drop spells onto the buttons. The 10 main buttons, for example, can all be made into menu buttons and give you another 12 buttons per menu button. You can also opt to only have 1-12 buttons in a menu, instead of JUST 12 buttons. A lot of other fun stuff you can mess with as well =) Hope that helps you out!
