With the final update to Stage 2 finally out, I present to you the button setting window. This window can be accessed by holding ALT and clicking any mouse button on any button while the sphere is unlocked (Naturally, you need to make sure the sphere is not locked-down in the sphere settings window ... and you can't be in combat) This window's current functionality in Stage 2 is simple: Allow the user to have another way to view, change, and delete actions on the button. Here, you'll see the icon of the spell/item/macro that you assigned to the left, middle, or right mouse buttons. You'll also see the type of button it currently is (none, spell/item/macro, or menu). When Stage 4 of the testing comes around, there will be more features to monkey with on the window. Using the window is fairly simple. Just pick up a spell/item/macro/ability and drop it on one of the three squares on the right side of the window. This will drop that action in the mouse slot and automatically update the button type on the dropdown list. If you wish to delete an action from the window, simply hold CTRL and click the action icon to remove. If you wish to change the icon of a currently setup menu button, just drag a new object on top of it. If you want to setup a menu button on one of the 10 main buttons around the sphere, simply drag the icon you want for the art onto the action square, and then set the dropdown list to "Menu" ... OR ... once you have an icon attached to your cursor, hold CTRL and click onto the square. I tried to make these assignment squares work almost the same as the normal button squares. So holding CTRL and clicking on a square while you're not holding anything will delete it. Holding CTRL while you're holding something will create a menu. All changes take effect AFTER you click the save button! If you are setting up your buttons in the menu and you get attacked, you window will disappear. If you ALT-click another button, your settings will disappear. Basically, unless you hit that save button, your changes won't take effect. Lastly, yes. You can have left-click open a menu, and middle and right clicks do something else. I know that I don't have tooltips added yet, so you'll have to memorize some stuff for now when you want to use a button, but the addon is making progress ;D Some key things to note: - In order for a button to exist, it MUST have a left-click action. If you set the left-click dropdown to "None," you will delete your button when you save it.
- Menus can ONLY be assigned on the left mouse button right now (this is why you can't select that feature from the list on the middle and right clicks)
- Submenu buttons cannot become menus.
- If you assign a menu or a spell/item/macro function, and the box is empty, nothing will happen.

Great work! I'm loving this addon. The only question I have is will there be a option to turn off cooldowns on a per button basis(or completely). I haven't noticed one. I'm looking forward to the cooldown text in the middle for my evocation and I'd like to be able to disable the actual buttons cooldown display If that's my only suggestion your doing great Very nice documentation all over the board as well.

I'm looking forward to the cooldown text in the middle for my evocation and I'd like to be able to disable the actual buttons cooldown display Glad to hear you're liking it. As for the issue of cooldowns, I will be providing an option in the button settings menu to disable cooldowns on a per-button basis as well as a tab in the general settings menu called "Defaults" or "Reset" which will have several buttons and options. Stuff that will let you wipe all buttons, toggle the cooldown text on and off for all buttons, and more. Kind of like an automated section that applies settings to everything, that way you don't need to do it manually to each button. Defaults could be set to always turn off cooldowns or always turn off counts and you'll have to turn them on manually per button. As for the evocation cooldown on the sphere itself, that will be soon I think stage 4 will add that support. You'll be able to set a gauge or the sphere text to "Spell / Item Cooldown" and drag the spell/item to show the cooldown of into a box and you're done. If that's my only suggestion your doing great Very nice documentation all over the board as well. I'm trying to make it easy for everyone whos just starting up, or have been following this since it started a little bit ago. This thing will have quite a lot of stuff it can do and instructions on how to do it, so I'll probably be including a good-sized text file with the final version that covers everything, or an HTML page ;D

Just another thought, would it be possible to add more of the ring gauges around the center sphere maybe optional ones if it isnt too much work so you can have more then just 2 and the sphere showing mana,hp,exp, etc?

You want more? Hmmm... I guess I can add support for more at a later time. I'll add that to the list of things to do after the addon is finished with the primary features I wanted to add. I can see using one more gauge (I would add it to the outside of the current sphere gauges). I could also add a "filling up" animation to the sphere itself, so it slowly fills in response to something. That would give a total of 5 events to be watched ... Either way, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion!

That would be pretty cool btw your doign a great job, even in this supposed beta with its 2 of 5 stages its a better mod then a lot of the ones ive seen floating around, and also these WoW arcade game addons are awsome! Gives me something to do while i heal in raids WOOT! ;D...just uhm how do i make it not show the Arcade Panel message when i open it up or is that not possible?

I thought Arcade Panel had a "Show Loading Message" option in the menu? Wow, it's been a while since I looked at it ... I've been so busy working on something that ISN'T a game, ahah.
Edit: Yeah, goto the menu button and open up the drop-down. There is a section, "Other" that has "Show Chat Messages". You'll need to turn that off. Each mini-game should have that option, so you'll need to open each game and modify each setting, since Arcade Panel just edits its own settings.

Huh, that's odd. I'll look into that issue and see if I can replicate it.

So, if you have a trade window open, as in to trade an item to someone? Or are you talking about trade as in the professions window (people refer to them as trade too, so just checking). Are the skills randomly not working when the window is on, or is it a select few types of skills? If I could find out what you were doing, or steps to replicate the error, that would help a lot =) I haven't been able to have it happen to me =(

methusela: Well, I'm glad the issue is fixed I was a little worried when I couldn't do the error myself, and thought it might be a little intermittent, and that would not be fun... wolftusk: I'll probably be adding the support to assign the menu opening support to any click with Stage 4. I'll still only have one menu that will appear per menu button, so if you assign the left-click and the right-click the "open menu" command, they will both open the same menu. Adding support for MORE than one menu set per button is something I am not planning on adding, but it might pop up one day after I'm finished with the original release of LunarSphere. A feature for another day I guess (Sorry for the late reply. I had some sleeping issues the past week and decided to wear myself down. So, I stayed up for almost 40 hours and then slept for about 16. I feel much better and back to normal, heh.)
