Well, I figure it was time for an update. Right now, I'm adding the last of the features to Stage 5 before releasing it to everyone, hopefully by the end of Oct 31 (Maybe Nov 1st). I am getting the art importing set up to work properly, making the skin tab recognize the imported art, and adding some checks to make sure the art exists.
The other thing I was working on is the extra click type events. Mainly, activating the mount types, adding the healthstone and mana gem types, and fleshing out the healing and mana restore catagories.
The other thing I have been focusing on is research for my new website. When Stage 6 is finished, I want to have my new domain and website also go live. I've been sketching ideas for how the site will look, trying to decide upon what portal implementation I should use (I'm torn between Mambo, Xoops, and DotNetNuke). I suppose I'll install all three and/or mess with demo pages of Mambo and Xoops to get a feel for which one would be best for me. I am already familiar with DotNetNuke, so that's an easy one to not worry about.
If possible, I would want to use a vBulletin forum on my site, so I'm looking to see if I can get that put onto my server as well.
Oh, and I've been PAINFULLY wanting to work on my card game for WOW, but I need to finish LS first. I have some fun, and slightly crazy ideas for 5 player matches against the computer in the card game (like a "raid" with the players fighting against mobs and bosses in a card battle). So far, the idea seems to work on paper, and I even have "classes" or roles for players to play in "raid" mode (tank, dps, and healing) which will give an extra ability to that player and affect their starting deck and the ability to win as a team. Grrrr, I want to work on it soooo bad. *sigh*
... oh, and I played Settlers of Catan over the weekend for the first time and got hooked, so now I'm trying to get my friends who live in California, Canada, and England to download a free 3D version of the boardgame and jump on TeamSpeak and play every weekend. Oh, and of course, I want to make a clone of it for WOW ("Settlers of Azeroth", haha).
Have I mentioned that I like making games? It's been almost 9 months since I really worked on one, so my fingers are itching for that good old game programming ... even if it's in LUA and just for WOW. Heh.
