Hello again everyone!
As some of you have noticed, I'm back home now and can finally start focusing on more LunarSphere goodness. While I was on vacation, I still worked on LunarSphere, but not as much as I would have liked. In fact, if I didn't take the vacation, Stage 5 might be finished by now. But, that's how the vacations roll
I will be working on Stage 5 this week. I can't say when I'll have a version of it ready for testing, but I will try to get it out as soon as possible. Although I'm back home, I still have that whole "working" thing to take care of, so I can't program 24/7. Thankfully, now that I got my desk back, and my DSL back, and no distractions ... it should go fairly smoothly.
For those who are interrested ... I have been working on a side project for the last couple weeks. I've been designing a card game that could be played in WOW. I'm sure some of you might be thinking "WTF? Why would anyone want to play a game within a game?" and I always answer "Because there are times you are waiting for stuff to happen (like a flight path or a PUG to find more people) and you can keep yourself entertained by watching the TRADE channel ... or you can play a mini-game."
Also, in-case it's not obvious, the only addons that I have ever made before LunarSphere and actually completed WERE mini-games. Seven of them, and a panel to load and unload them while in WOW. So, mini-games are where I started the whole WOW addon thing, and they will continue being what I do (on top of LS and everything else I have planned, haha).
Anyway, I've been working on this card game for a while, putting the concept down on paper, making fake cards (out of paper) and testing it out, and so far ... I think I'm on to something. When I had free time (and didn't have any internet available) while on vacation, I drew up concept art for the game as well, and created ideas on how the game would look in WOW. Well, I had a 5 hour flight on the way to Hawaii, so I decided I would finish the in-game concept design and see how it looked. I like it, and I hope those who care like it too

The art on the cards were taken from various WOW wallpapers from the official site. I did not draw them. I will most likely take in-game models and throw them into a model viewer and pose them in certain poses and snap screenshots and use those as the art. Mobs, players, NPCs ... I will be using about 13 different images. I'll also be pulling ability icons from the already-made Blizzard icons for the player skills, and (not shown) the player skill tree will have a design similar to the WOW talent trees for players.
This game won't be finished until after LS is made public. This card game is and will be my next project after LS, and then I'll move onto other mini-games and other addon ideas (like, I dunno ... LunarSkin and Interruptus, haha)
(Edit: For those who want to know, CardWars is a strange mix of game concepts from the game "War" that you can play with a standard deck of 52 cards, and concepts from WOW (talents and spells) that will affect the game and give bonuses, like 1.25x gold bounty on killed cards, ability to see the opponent's hand, and others. This game will ONLY be 2 player, but the cool thing is that it WILL have single player against the computer, and it should work out fairly well. A "much more multiplayer" version, probably called "CardWars: Raid," will allow for up to 8-10 players to battle, in FFA style or group battles. Fun stuff to think about, AFTER CardWars is finished. Maybe "boss decks" that players can fight against, like a 5 party vs the boss deck (controlled by computer). Ooooh ... *drool*)
