Well, the trip obviously went well, since I was already posting when I got in. The situation with the internet is a little strange, and the programming for LS might come in bursts. The guest house that I'm staying in doesn't have DSL, nor a wireless connection, so I can't code in the comfort of my own area. I may be able to use dial-up from the guest house (since it's free when you have DSL, as a "bonus", lol), and I've played WOW on dial up before and it was fine. So, I'll look into that.
The problem with making an addon for WOW is that you must be able to TEST the addon, which requires WOW to be running and, well ... logged onto a server. I know I could probably do some shady stuff to, um ... make it "look" like I logged onto a server and can access the game world, but I'd rather not. So, I have two options:
1) Use dial-up (which would be fine for testing) and code it at the guest house
or 2) Walk over to the guest house and program in the living room by logging onto the network with the wireless option.
... I can also do a bunch of programming and hope to god it works, head over to the guest house and test it, and then debug it from there. Sadly, with WOW programming, I prefer to add a few lines and test it to make sure it works, then add more and test. Less bugs that way, more time consuming ... but whatever
I'll be hopefully posting a new update for Stage 4 sometime next week. Probably a day or two after the 4th. But, I won't give an exact date like last time, otherwise people may camp out at the site all day =) Instead, I'll let people camp out at the site all WEEK. *cruel intention*
