Well, I'm finished with the layout of the button settings windows, and started adding the code to display the window the way I want it. I'm still guessing at a Stage 4 release before Weds. of next week (6/27/07).
I've finished 12 buttons skins at work for the skinning section of the addon, and I plan to finish another 3-8 when I'm at work tomorrow. I'll also have 4 sphere skins finished tomorrow as well. Class icons will also be selectable in the sphere skin section, bumping the total skins for the sphere to 15 (original skin + portrait + 9 class icons + 4 new skins)
I've finally sat down and spent an hour adding code to the item recognition module so LunarSphere finally is smart enough to know how many of each potion, food, drink, mount, bandage, and energy drink you have in inventory, even if you use an item or pick one up. That was an important part that is essential to Stage 4, so that's all ready to go.
I've fixed some bugs from Stage 3 as well. The vendor selling of junk now gives the proper price printout if you're also repairing or buying reagents. Buy reagents now has a small timer on it for those really BIG purchases, so you won't accidently buy the reagents twice if you open the vender and then close it immediately and open it again. Also fixed a display issue when auto-buying limited quantity items from the vendor (it used to display how many you NEEDED to buy, not how many were actually bought). I also changed the auto-sell of gray items to be more intuitive. Now, it will automatically sell all gray items EXCEPT the ones you specify (before, it would only sell the ones you specify). This makes it easier to set up, and it also makes a little more sense. Your original settings will be converted, so no worries. If you only want to sell armor, the new settings will say NOT to sell the non-equippables and NOT to sell the weapons.
I've been planning the types of button actions that people will have access to, and decided on the following method. If you use the "Button Type" drop down list, it will automatically set up the fields for the button to that specific button type. You can always modify the left-middle-right click attributes to fit your style (thus converting the button into a custom button type again). The drop-downs for the left-middle-right click actions will have catagories inside it as well. For example, you'll have this:
- none
- spell/item/macro
- menu
- health potion -> (use lowest, use highest)
- mana potion -> (use lowest, use highest)
- bandage -> (use lowest, use highest)
- apply to weapon -> (apply to main-hand, apply to off-hand)
- trade -> (trade summoned water, trade summoned food)
...
That way, instead of seeing 20 items to choose from, you'll find 10 or so, with 8 of those having 2-3 options to choose from).
That's about it for right now. Any comments are welcome, of course.
