Well, I think I was running around 160k for the memory usage on LunarSphere, which I thought was pretty good. I then added some code that would free up functions I no longer needed, and was able to cut it down to 145k after loading and the freeing of memory. 15k is, I think, a HUGE chunk, especially if it's just CODE that's loaded up.
I then decided to destory a table I was using (which I thought would save memory in the long run), and freed up almost 70k, dropping LunarSphere down to only 75k in size in memory. That's REALLY good, especially if you compare the original Serenity (600k). I have DPS mods that take up 500K and sometimes (with their database they use), 2000K. Crazy.
So, LunarSphere is becoming even more memory savy.
I decided to see how much memory this bad boy would use if I had every button around the sphere loaded as a menu button with 10 buttons assigned to each menu. So, with 110 buttons (10 menu, 100 submenu), the button table grew, but it's only at 180k in total size, and I might be able to drop it some more.
So, instead of the addon taking 320k of memory with all the bells and whistles loaded and set up, it's only at 180k. I'm sure, that when this is finished, it will be up at 240k in size, but who knows ... maybe I'll cut it down some more with some extra optimizations.
